Fashion predictions (no i'm not a physic)

I thought I would enlighten (or not) you with what I think might be the big trends this coming spring and summer. You will all come back to this post later on in the year and think wow Jess you were so right (you probably won't). So lets get on with the show, well actually its just a blog post.....

Statement necklaces:
Topshop - £16.50

Forever 21 - £16.90

Next - £14
If you were to ask anyone that knows me they would know that I often like to sport some kind of necklace, and more than often it will be a statement necklace. Now I have been a fan of these types of necklaces for a good few years as in a way they almost feel to me like I'm wearing a piece of amour (don't be afraid to tell me if i'm getting a bit weird). In the past few months I have noticed that more and more of them keeping popping up in shops and I often spot someone wearing one now. So my prediction is that these necklaces are going to be a part of everyones wardrobe by the end of the summer, unless your a man. Statement necklaces are really easy to wear with very plain clothing as the necklace brings a pop of colour and fun. This summer I think we will be seeing a lot of neon ones to bring out all our lovely tans, but not if you live in England where our summer lasts on average around one whole day.

Tube skirts:

New Look - £14.99

Topshop - £20

Asos - £22

I have a feeling that these skirts are going to become really popular over the summer season. With these kind of skirts you don't have to show off too much leg which is good sometimes and you want to have that coverage. Tube skirts are really easy to wear with baggy tees or maybe if we get some nice weather (wishful thinking?) then you can go crazy and wear something a little more daring like a crop top, oooh how rebellious. Even though i really do like these skirts I don't think however I'm the kind of person that would pull one off, being quite a tall person I would fear that a skirt like this would just elongate me even more.

White fitted shirts:

Asos - £14

Zara - £22.99

New Look - £12.99

I think a well fitted white shirt should be somewhere in everyones wardrobe as they are just so versatile and thats something I personally appreciate in a piece of clothing. A white shirt can take you from a day look to a glamorous night look in an instant. White shirts will look especially good in the summer as they just look so fresh and crisp ( as long as it hasn't gone in the wash too many times so that it turns to a lovely grey shade).

So that was just a few things that I think lots of people will be wearing in the months to come. I also want to say a big sorry that I have been a little absent over the past few days, I have been a bit of a nerd doing college work but I'm here now. :)

What trends do you think will be popular in the spring/summer?

lots of love
Jess.xx
