I am a failure, but I have done a room tour

Wow. I mean what can I say, it's been way too long since I have posted on this thing. I don't even have an amazing excuse for my absence.
Anyway in my last post I did say that I was going to show you all some bits and bobs in my room just because I thought it was quite a cool idea. This is the kind of thing I like to read about on other peoples blogs, just to be nosy really and to find inspiration for my own room. So here it goes, welcome to my room...

Im hoping that you are all really impressed with my technical skills, rather than just taking a photo I have decided to go absolutely crazy and do little shots of things. I just want to say I know these clips are not technically that good, I don't have any editing software you see. So anyway I though I would start off by showing you the main feature of my bedroom, and probably the main feature of anyones bedroom, why am I so stupid. Why of course its my bed. I mean who in this world doesn't love their bed right? Incase you wanted to know, this bed is from trusty ode Ikea, you will find that most of my furniture is from ikea, cool I know. Then these bed sheets are from the mother-ship of all shops, Primark, these sheets are like the ones I use when my more expensive sheets are in the wash. This is a double sided duvet so the other side looks like the pattern on the pillows. Am I doing ok so far?

I am so sorry that this clip is not the right way round. But anyway I believe that the strawberry cushion is from a car boot sale and I just think its so cute!

Im not entirely sure what I would call one of these bad boys but what ever you call them I just absolutely love it I do. I got this when i went on holiday in England to a place called Whitby and I was from this really cute show that sold all kinds of home ware, in fact I wish I could go back to that shop and buy more stuff .

I have two of these lamps beside my bed (erm hello thats why they are called bedside lamps) which I got from a shop called Dunelm Mill which is basically a shop where you can get housey stuffy from.I chose the glass lamp because then it meant that I could put any colour with it so it wouldn't clash with other things in my room.

Now, I think these fairy lights are one of my favourite things in my room, plus they were an absolute bargain, something like three pounds from Home bargains. When they are lit up at night it just makes my room look super cosy and just makes me want to hop into bed.

how cool it this sign, O-M-G I just think its the cooliest thing ever. My mum brought this back from Cornwall for my sister but I decided that I wanted it to go in my room as she never used it. I just love how 'homemade' it looks.

This is were I hang most of my jewelry. I think it was only six pounds from next and I just love it because its just so girly and I enjoy having my jewelry right there to look at.

Okeydokey, so that was just a few bits in my room. I hope that this post isn't too shabby, I really need to get some editing software don't I? Maybe this post has given you inspiration for your own room, or if not it's shown you all a bit more about me. :)

lots of love
Jess.xx

  1. I love your bedding! I really need matching bedside laps, everything would look so much prettier. I adore fairy lights, I have some coloured ones wrapped around my bed frame, I love them and I agree, it makes my room and my bed look so cosy!x
