Ok so I am a little late on this post, I wanted to write a post on monday when I got the album but I just didn't seem to have the time, but now I can talk about it to you all, aren't you lucky. Bastille has to be my all time favourite band at the minute, I have been following them for around a year now and I can even remember the first time I ever heard them and exactly what I was doing, I just fell in love with the lead singers voice, Dan Smith. So anyway monday was the day that they released their debut album and I simply had to purchase it, no questions about it. I arrived at Hmv and took the first album of the shelf, dedication right? I then had to go to college so I wasn't able to listen to it until I got home later on. ( am I boring you with this story? shall I just get on with it and tell you about the ablum? yeah I think I might)
The album consists of twelve songs with one bonus track which I am unsure of the name. There were four new songs that I had never heard before, one of them being Oblivion which is such a beautiful slow track, it actually gives me goose bumps. I don't think there is a song on there that I'm not really a fan of, Overjoyed is my absolute favourite song of theirs and I think It always will be. If you like 80's electric inspired music then I think you would really enjoy this album, his voice is just heaven.
